Hey this is Karl and welcome to another episode of statues I wish I can afford!
So for the guys who are new here, this is where i will be sharing pieces that i am currently interested in, also pieces that i have passed on the PO, and pieces that i did PO or paid for followup payments.
I will also be sharing some thoughts on the statues on why i like them or passed on them
and you will also be able to see pieces that i will be receiving soon.
So without further a due lets start!
First on the list is we have this black panther, not a lot of good custom black panthers out there but this one is definitely good. Comes with a very unique arm switchout, which is inspired from the artwork of Brian Stelfreeze, also comes with a chadwick boseman portrait – great way to give tribute to the king of wakanda and speaking of wakanda, theres also a easter egg at the back of the base.
Next this she hulk went up on PO, not a lot of photos for this one but the sculpt looks pretty good
very simple yet still shows how strong she hulk is. This is also not your typical she hulk where she has the body of a guy, this she hulk still retains her female structure with a very cute portrait.
Next is this upcoming The dark Knight returns superman – this is a companion piece to their frank miller batman and if you have the bats on PO, you will have an exclusive torso switchout for your superman. Not much to show yet, but the sculpt already looks promising.
Next is this very classy daredevil. You guys know that i love museum type statues or statues with very small bases, so this daredevil definitely fits my collection. Anatomy looks perfect but i think the Fisk tower signage looks very small, but i do understand that they are going for a small base here.
Next is this brown and yellow blue wolverine. I am very interested in this piece. I really like this because of the pose, I originally wanted to PO sideshow 1/4 wolverine bust that was sculpted by Daniel Bel and just hire a sculptor to hand sculpt the legs, but now i no longer have to do that.
It also comes with a torso switchout and stand so you can display it separately.
Next is this Miles Morales spiderman. Really love the sculpt and this one just got printed I cant wait to see the prototype and decide if i want to hop on it. Not a lot of good MM spidermans out there
plus the pose is a big plus for me.
Lastly is this Thor. I have received a lot of messages about this Thor, but its already SOLDOUT so please don’t sent me a message about it anymore. It was almost sold out within the group, that’s why only a few new buyers where invited into the group. I know i know it looks pretty good 50 or more people also think that its good, that’s why its sold out. Again its sold out and I’m sorry.
Next are statues that i passed on PO or no longer interested in
First is this Kraven. Ive been waiting awhile for the reveal and PO for this kraven but the timing wasn’t right for me since there were pieces that i wanted to PO first and some followup payments which of course i need to prioritize. Sculpt looks amazing, definitely gonna be the best kraven around. This is also featured in my Top 10 Spiderman related statues in production.
Remember that The Dark Knight Returns Superman at the first part of the show?
This is the Frank Miller batman that its supposed to go with. Again i have to pass on this although the price is very tempting. Just because i need to prioritize other stuff. I still think the sculpt looks pretty good especially with the price tag!
Next is an Asgardian character and we have Lady Sif. I did say i was gonna PO this is the price was right but the price wasnt where i wanted it to be. I don’t really need her in my collection, but would definitely look good if she was there. But I couldn’t justify the price so i simply need to pass. Sculpt looks pretty good especially the portraits! So factory don’t mess this one up!!
Last on the list is this venom. Was very interested on this piece when they teased the portrait
plus i have high expectations with the quality the group produces but was a bit turned off when they fully revealed it. I love my Venoms to have his symbol on his chest, although others may not.
I also have know background on why he looks like this plus why his right arm looks like a canon
maybe you can educate me down in the comments below.
Next are pieces that I did PO or paid for the followup payments
First 2 pieces are from Sideshow
I have paid the shipping and final payment for this Deadpool. Really really excited to get this! Im always late to the party when it comes to license pieces because of sea shipping. Also this deadpool doesn’t match any of my Xmen bases, but i made an exception since i try and avoid corny looking deadpool statues. There’s actually a custom one that looks pretty good and would match better with my collection, but I’ve already PO this one and don’t see myself owning 2 Deadpools.
Next sideshow piece is this Symbiote Spiderman! I actually paid the final payment and shipping for this at deadpool at the same time. Very excited to receive this guy and its the main reason why i have to pass on other symbiote spidermans! Because I’m very content with this one but there’s a few of them available on PO if you are interested!
Last on the list and on the video is this spiderman! This one was sculpted by Caleb Nefzen and is only available as kits. Its actually the very first kit that I’ve bought. I originally bought this so i can practice painting statue but decided to just let someone else do it. The statue looks pretty good for me to mess it up!
